This half term we have had an Artist in residence – Sally Harper. She has been working with the children on a project to create a piece of art that will be displayed in the nursery. Over the last few weeks every Monday and Friday Sally has come in to work on the project. The project has allowed the children to explore using different media like charcoal, graphite, pastels and chalk. They have used special pens to draw on acetate before transferring their pictures onto the final creation on large perspex panels with special glass paint. The children have really enjoyed this new experience of exploring the new media, mixing colours, expressing ideas and having the freedom to follow them through whilst working together on this project.
