Language Alive Comes to Featherstone!

Down by the River Bank

Today we had a visitor called Ruby and we went on an adventure to find an Otter called Portley. We found lots of footprints that looked like Portley’s so we knew that he had been in our Nursery!

We then decided that we would cross the river to have a look on the other side of the room. So we helped Ruby make a bridge using some bricks that we could find. We went across one at a time and we had to be very careful that we didn’t fall in!

Once we made it to the other side of the river, we searched in a Wood, up a tree and climbed up a mountain but we still couldn’t find Portley.

We did find some eggs in a birds nest and we also helped a little hedgehog build his own home to keep him nice and warm.

We finally made a boat to look down the river. On our journey in the boat we went over the bumpy rocks.

We eventually found Portley in a tree down the river, well done everyone who came along and helped Ruby.
